Today's Style Tip at Instyle

Each day InStyle.com features one of their Looks of the Day. Today they featured Ali Larter and we have to admit, yes, she looks great! What was so striking about her outfit is the minimal amount of jewelry she is wearing. We count two earrings, one bracelet and we think we can make out a ring. Nice job, Ali.

Sometimes when we go out on the town we don't have to be draped heavily with jewelry. A few pieces will suffice just as well.

At
DociaLynn.com we carry bangles that will work for any outfit like our Antique Silver Metal Bracelet. The great thing is it's less than $20. You can't get any better than that!

Penny Pinching During the Holidays

Although we saw streams of people and hordes of crowds shopping on Black Friday there are still throngs of other Americans who are keeping a tight watch on their spending this holiday season. With gas prices steadily going up and with the housing crisis not nearly out of our sights, families are spending less than usual this year. In fact, a recent survey says one-third of all Americans will indeed spend considerably less than they did last year.

Since today is Cyber Monday and since I know many people are watching their wallets, I wanted to give you a heads up on a holiday giveaway we're doing. If you sign up to our newsletter, you will be automatically entered to win a gift certificate from Docia Lynn. Now, nothing can be less expensive than a FREE gift certificate.

Memorable Gifts for the Holidays

If you are a small business owner like I am, or an aspiring business owner, you understand that the companies you do business with like to be shown a little appreciation at the end of the year, and that doesn't always mean getting a company mug -- boring!

According to an article I read on CNN.com, small businesses are now going the extra mile to give more personalized and meaningful gifts to their clients instead of the
ubiquitous coffee mug or the age-old gift basket. Small businesses are going as far as handing out personalized stationary or even flowering bonsais.

In my opinion, I think in the long run, clients do like to be appreciated and a personal gift shows just that -- thought, value, sincerity. But what's in it for the small business? Isn't there some merit to giving away a holiday gift with the company logo stamped on it even if it will end up in the trash six months from now? After all, this is still business. Or, do you think a great (
i.e. expensive) gift goes further in solidifying business ties?

By the way, (ahem) we have a ton of great gift ideas for the holidays that are quite affordable and lovely ideas for women who love jewelry.

The holidays are approaching and many of us are dreaming of how we are going to get our body in shape. Well, you are not alone -- everyone has to work out, even the celebrities. Jessica Simpson a great fashion icon hired a personal trainer to help her stay fit and in style. She enlisted the help of own private drill sergeant -- Los Angeles trainer Harley Pasternak, the man behind "The 5 Factor Diet" and "5-Factor Fitness" to get her in great physical shape. Jessica's workout plan is not difficult and it doesn't take long. Harley Pasternak advises working out five days per week for 25 minutes. The routine that he put together for Jessica combines cardio with weight training and core exercises in five phases. You don't need a gym membership and weight machines -- Jessica's workout requires only a set of dumbbells, an adjustable bench and a stability ball. If you don't have an elliptical trainer and/or a treadmill for cardio, you can walk, jog or jump rope. Who wants to try this workout? I think I'm am going to try it out. Looking and feeling great is a wonderful way to stay fashionable. Since the weekend is coming up, I'm going to take a look at the workout plan and try to incorporate it into my exercise routine. We all love fashion jewelry! And, we all know that fashion jewelry and accessories are a great way to upgrade our wardrobe. Unfortunately, many of us stuff or cram our fashion finds in showboxes or toolboxes. As you collect fashion jewelry, you may find that you need more space to store your valuable finds. To ensure that your fashion jewelry lasts and doesn't get ruined, you should consider organizing and storing your jewelry in jewelry containers. Organizing your jewelry will prevent your jewelry from getting damaged, tangled or lost. Docia Lynn has found a great website for storing your jewelry that offers affordable, unique and beautiful jewelry boxes and storage options.

Docia Lynn would love to hear about how you store and organize your fashion accessories. Share your ideas with Docia Lynn and friends.
